Fit

The material is not too heavy, so it is reasonably easy to fit the cover on your own. It is designed for box cushion seats and will fit chairs up to 43” wide x 36” high. It is quite large-sized, so will fit most over-stuffed armchairs. However, on a regular chair you will likely need to tuck some of the excess into the corners to get the best fit.

Look

As well as being functional and ideal for homes with children or pets, this slipcover looks great too. It has a straight skirt at the front and ties under each arm. It’s a classic style that will work well with traditional decor, but can also be incorporated into a more modern room. Be aware though, that the ties have a tendency to come out of the drier crumpled, and you may want to iron them before re-fitting the cover.

Our Verdict

This is a great value slipcover that will stand up to lots of use, so it’s a good buy for families or pet owners. You may need to iron the ties after washing, but this is no major inconvenience. It’s worth knowing that it’s generously sized, which is good if your chair is oversized, but will mean more tucking to get a neat fit if your chair is smaller than average.

Fit

This slipcover has a separate cover for the seat cushion and can be fitted very quickly, in about 5-10 minutes. The stretch in the fabric enables it to fit most T-cushion chairs as well as regular box cushion ones. It is quite large – designed to fit chairs up to 38” wide – so it’s a good choice for an over-stuffed chair. However, you may find you need to make a few adjustments if your chair is not over-sized. The cover might gradually work loose, but this can be easily remedied by re-tucking around the arms every once in a while.

Look

The separate seat cover gives this slipcover an elegant tailored look and helps keep the main cover in place. The material looks like it is good quality and appears to be more expensive than it actually is. It does a good job of giving dated furniture a contemporary new look and is very good value for money.

Our Verdict

We like the look and feel of the corduroy fabric, but isn’t the best choice if you’re looking for something that’s pet friendly! However, in a pet free household, this slipcover could successfully transform a worn out chair and offers an affordable way to coordinate your furniture without spending too much money.
